Obviously consumer email use has changed dramatically in 2020. More Americans are at home during the day and are viewing their personal email differently than was the NORM pre-pandemic.

However we have found that some email uses do not change.

According to studies: Consumers who purchase products & services through email spend 138% more than those that don't receive email offers; 77% of people prefer to get promotional messages via email (versus direct mail, text, phone or social media).
Some email viewing habits may have changed now that many Americans can work from HOME. Checking personal email is a complementary activity. People historically do it while watching TV (69%), in bed (57%), and on vacation (79%).

With people working from HOME, we can infer that they may be more comfortable checking in on their personal email in the privacy of their home office than they were when working at a workstation at the office.

Personal email accounts continue to matter and usage has grown. The number of email users in the US was projected to be 254.7 million by the end of 2020, up from 244.5 million in 2017.

What is the best DAY of the week to send a B2C email marketing message? Before 2020 it was Tuesday.

Our experience in 2020 has shown that Tuesday continues to have the longest legs for a B2C email SEND. Like everything else in local marketing we will see what happens going forward into 2021.
